Bottle Boot Camp
So Benny and I have been trying to get little Pac-Man to take a bottle. Needless to say he won't. We probably have the strongest willed 6 month old ever! Tuesday I nursed him at 6:30am like normal and then for his second feeding we tried the bottle. Of course, that was a no go so we kept trying all day. Benny has an incredible amount of patience and was the one that tried to feed him most of the day. It is so so so so so so hard for me to watch Pax get so upset when I know that I could fix it by nursing him. Every mother and nurse I've talked to says to be persistant so we were but that little guy just wasn't having it. Benny and I are leaving for our anniversary vacation in 4 months so Pax MUST learn how to take a bottle. Granted he will be 10 months old then and eating some solid foods but he still needs his milk. Being the mommy I am worried and stressed and every other emotion that comes along with listening to your son be so upset. Today is day 2 of trying to get him to take a bottle and I've already gave in and nursed him. Without Benny home encouraging me to stick with it I'm weak. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I have tried 4 different bottles with every size nipple. I am all out ideas! HELP

I was trying to look back through the pictures to see if Pax took a paci. Aiden didn't at first, but then he got REALLY attached to a NUK paci. He wouldn't take the bottle at first either. But we finally tried the NUK bottle since he liked the NUK paci and he would take that pretty well. I know that is stressful! I know that I am for sure not mom of the year so here is my non-mom-of-the-year-fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants advice... 4 months is quite a while and by then he will probably be a pro at solids and maybe even a sippy so don't stress just yet and if he is sad and wanting to nurse and you want to nurse him, I say nurse him and try again tomorrow, or even next week!!
