Summer swimming coming to an end

Pax took a dip with our neighbors last week. They had a blast! I fear it may have been the last time of the season. They were all cold and their little lips were chattering but they wanted to stay in. Kids are funny that way.

7 and 1/2 months prego!

Much to my dislike I have some distant friends and family that want to see my growing belly. Here it is (and if any of you say I'm "BIG"...OFF WITH YOUR HEAD) :) love you all

Needing to Vent

Okay so I'm now 8 months pregnant and the reality that I can no longer touch my toes, shave my legs or paint my toe nails has set in! Its like I've strapped an enormous watermelon to my belly. I now waddle every where I go (due to the extra weight and expansion of my hips). Oh and did I forget to tell you that EVERYONE likes to remind me of how BIG I am or gasps when I say I still have almost 2 months left. Yes, I've done the MATH people month 8 and 9 lay ahead of me. I know they don't mean it but that does NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING for my self confidence. So the next time you see a poor prego waddling around think to yourself "what could I say that would make her feel beautiful" and if all you can do is wonder how far along she is, DON'T ASK and if you have to ask then make sure you can control your response. Just some words of wisdom :).

P.S. I do love the miracle of pregnancy and feel blessed that God has given us two boys, I'm just having a day.

Potty Training.......MY ENEMY!

Today began day 1 of potty training with big boy underwear and frequent trips to the bathroom. Let me start by saying this task of UN-teaching your child to pee/poo poo in his diaper to training him to use the potty is the HARDEST thing I've ever tried to do. We have already been through 4 pairs of underwear and I started this at 9am. That's right 4 and it's only noon. I have been taking him to the potty every 15min. Sometimes I have to bring books in to keep him seated on the toile for more than 5 seconds. The times he has gone potty in his big boy undies it has also been seconds from getting off the toilet seat. This has left me dazed, confused and frustrated! I need some fresh ideas. I'm worn out and have already given in to the diaper. I know some of you are probably disappointed that I only went half a day in big boy underwear but I am still continuing the trips to the bathroom every 15min or so. If you have a suggestions I would love to hear them. HELP HELP HELP :)

Family Reunion

Last weekend we loaded up and headed to Clinton AR to see family and celebrate our beloved aunt Susie's retirement. These are a few candids from our time there.

My how time flies

So we have been home a little over two weeks now and I just can not believe it. I know that people say time flies when you're having fun but it also flies when you are re-entering a country and getting settled. Over the last few weeks I have been cleaning like a mad woman, doing 10 loads of laundry and re-adjusting to cooking our own meals. We have had the best time being back around family and friends but we have also experienced some culture shock that was unexpected. Re-entering America was nice because of toilets that had toilet paper (there was NEVER toilet paper in bathrooms in Thailand), people that spoke English and the love we felt from everyone when returning. On the other hand we saw a side of our culture that made us sad. Most everyone in Thailand stays away from smoking, don't have a care in the world about what you're wearing and are relatively thin. We saw a very different picture when getting off the plane in Chicago. We saw booths set up for smokers (which were full), people that had name brand everything and obesity. It may sound like not a big deal but it was a lot to process when coming back. Other than those few things the adjustment as been good. We have loved being back at our church and seeing the changes taking place. We've also loved the fellowship of other believers. We look forward to seeing what God does as we began to build a team of people to go back to Thailand with us!

We Are HOME!!!

Hello All~
Benny, Pax and I made it home late Friday night. We have been doing well and trying to get over the jet lag. We wanted to thank all of you for your prayers because they were felt! God blessed us on our flights home and allowed us to get back with ALL our luggage. Thank you thank you thank you for the encouragement over the past month. We truly have missed you and can not wait to see you!
